Bridal Hair Design

Bridal Hair Design

In this lesson we were creating different bridal looks. We were creating more of a modern bridal look using the skills we have learnt through our technical lessons. I wanted to do a very simple but elegant look and I have based my designs on the images below I came across when looking for ideas.

I started by plaiting the sides of the hair by starting off by doing a french plait but then just using the rest of the hair to keep plaiting so I could then wrap it round at the end. I done this on both side's of the head.
I then took the hair from the back and rolled it up into a small bun at the top of the neck, I secured this in place by using pins and then once it was secure I then added more pins to sort out the shape and make sure it was even on both sides. I then used the two plaits at the side to wrap on top of the bun and then secured that with pins to keep it in place.
I really enjoyed doing the bridal hair because who doesn't like designing pretty things every now and again! I enjoyed using the techniques we had learnt and putting them into a more modern style and seeing the outcome to a final look.
I think the hair type worked really well with the bun but maybe not the plaits because the plaits got a little bit lost in the rest of the hair and didn't stand out as much as I would have wanted them too.
